Nearly Impossible Scenarios that could happen in the 2015- 2016 NFL Season

Nearly Impossible Scenarios that could happen in the 2015-2016 season

Disclaimer: As the title suggests, these scenarios are unlikely to happen so don’t take the claims too seriously. These are meant to be fun scenarios to imagine because they have potential but that’s all they are right now; potential scenarios.

Who doesn’t love to imagine wild fantasies? Whether it be about your life, where you want to live, what places to travel, or anything in the world, fantasies are always a fun way to observe life. Fantasies are also a fun way to dream and eventually make goals to pursue in life. Well, why not have fantasies about football and think about the different possibilities of the season? The only twist here is these fantasies aren’t likely to happen, which will just make these scenarios even more fun to look at. Well, why don’t we just get right to them. Remember, these are for fun, and not to take seriously…for now.

5. The Texans and Chiefs reach the playoffs while Denver falls short

This is the most likely of the nearly impossible scenarios. It’s not far fetched to imagine that the Chiefs win the AFC West division and Denver falls short of the wild card at a 10-6 record. So who would take away their wild card? The Texans, of course, because they are one of the better teams in the AFC. The Texans aren’t going to beat the Colts for the AFC South division and need the wild card to make the playoffs. Sorry Texans fans. Maybe when you get a franchise QB, you’ll give the Colts more trouble.

4. RG3 reclaims his former glory and takes the Redskins to the playoffs

In a make it or break it year, this is what RG3 has to do if he wishes to play in the NFL or at least show that he can still be what he was his rookie year. However, RG3’s biggest problem is his ego. While injuries are apart of his failures, RG3’s refusal to listen to his coaches to work on his mechanics is his true downfall and if he can’t push aside his pride for once, he won’t be on the Redskins roster much longer.

3. The Saints boast the No. 1 running game in the NFL

Now that the Saints have CJ Spiller, they can go back to what they do best; have a great running game and Drew Brees to save the day when the running game just isn’t enough to keep the offense rolling. With Sean Peyton’s complicated schemes and offensive play calling, the Saints can easily have a top 5 running game. However, boasting the No. 1 running game could be a chore with so many competitors that already have a great running game.

2. The Dolphins take down the Patriots to make it to the AFC Championship.

This is arguably the most improbable scenario of the ones listed. In fact, I’m not sure what’s more improbable, the Dolphins beating the Patriots in a playoff game, or the Dolphins making it into the playoffs and passing the Wild Card Round. I only give them the benefit of the doubt because Tannehill is an under-rated QB and Suh will wreck offensive lines for the Dolphins defense.

1. The Vikings win the NFC North in a week 17 upset of the Packers

This all depends on how much the Packers dominate this year and how high Minnesota goes to reach their potential. This scenario is number 1 because, frankly, it’s the most exciting scenario to think about of them all. Imagine this, Rodgers, arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, going up against an up and coming quarterback in Bridgewater for the division championship with playoff hopes on the line. Also, don’t forget this is Adrian Peterson’s comeback year and he’s going to want to show the NFL world he is still the best running back to play this game in this century. This storyline is loaded with drama and it would be a great game to end the NFL season with.
